According to a new study published in the run up to the Super Bowl have been alarming football lovers all around the world.
The article specifically says that starting playing football before the age of 12 can significantly damage your ability to cope with stressful situations. To test the accuracy of the theory, researchers at Boston University had been testing the mental flexibility, memory and verbal intelligence of more than 42 ex pro football players. Half of them have confessed to have begun tackle play when they were very young, the other half when they were 12 or older. The first category “performed significantly worse on all test measures, even after researchers took into account the total number of years of football played and the age of the players at the time of the tests.” There has been even a bigger difference than 20 percent on some tests.
