Overview of the NFL 2014 Playoff Picture

With only ten teams, NFL has made its best guess as to who will stay in, and who is sure to be out. Do you agree? Let’s take a look at how the teams are standing in the playoffs.
First teams out of the playoffs

The Cleveland Browns are out. After a “quarterback apocalypse” over the last month, The Browns will not be able to hold their own in the upcoming games. The Houston Texans, similarly, are debating whether to start Case Keenum or Thad Lewis as quarterback. With the same issues as the Cleveland Browns, these two teams can be eliminated.

San Diego, Kansas City and Buffalo looking good
These three teams are at 8-6. The Chiefs are in Pittsburgh, while San Diego faces San Francisco. Buffalo will have to win two out of three to make the playoffs, and they have a good shot after the upset over the Packers. However, all three teams could go either way on their success, and so we will just have to wait and see.

AFC North teams are taking the lead
Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore are the dangerous AFC trio, and they are looking very good throughout the playoffs. The Bengals have two hard games left, but they also have a reasonable chance as a nine-win team because of their tie. Baltimore faces the Texans and then the Browns, two slumping teams this season. The Steelers might be out of the playoffs, but their picture is a little bit more uncertain. The next two contenders they play are Kansas City and Cincinnati. We will have to keep a close eye on them.
